The creative environment and the sense of possibility here are what you'd expect at a start-up, yet, we offer all the resources and strength of a well established, publicly traded company.<br/><br/>The Staff Accountant/Analyst position is looking for someone with the ability to provide financial information to management with the preparation of the monthly financial packages, by reviewing monthly general ledger activity, preparing and analyzing financial data, preparing journal entries, providing any additional necessary analysis of the accounting activity, performing SOX testing and special projects as required.<br/><br/><br/><b>Accountabilities:</b><br/><br/>-   Support the accounting area by reviewing or completing various financial transactions and substantiations, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements.  Research and reconcile any financial discrepancies.<br/>-   Assists in maintaining the integrity of Direct Checks financial reports by ensuring accuracy and validity of internally and externally reported financial statements, variance analysis schedules, order and unit volumes, and related metrics.<br/>-   Provide accounting support to the Direct Checks business by assisting in the preparation and review of Corporate required month-end actual packages, monthly forecast packages, and the annual operating plan.<br/>-   Prepare the Sarbanes Oxley documentation, perform related testing and communicate results through identified channels.<br/>-   Coordinate the accounts payable processes by gathering and sorting documents; verifying data and authorization; submitting for payment; resolving discrepancies; and issuing stop payments, disbursements, or adjustments to vendor accounts. Provide backup support for the Reporting function.<br/>-   Complete any financial related projects that are ongoing or on an ad-hoc basis by coordinating the related tasks and researching any outstanding issues.<br/>-   Support the Finance department during all audit engagements including external, and internal audits by preparing, reviewing all client PBC&#8217;s (Prepared by Client) and acting as a liaison between the audit teams and the Finance department.<br/>-   Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls.<br/>-   Support and maintain ethics of the business by protecting customer and financial information, applying company&#8217;s core values, and complying with policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.<br/>-   Manage workload in tight-deadline, detail-oriented environment; highly organized.
