Mergers & Acquisitions Strategy Director

The Director, Mergers and Acquisition Strategy will be responsible for analyzing and leading initiatives related to potential mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, divestitures, deal modeling and due diligence. This role will also provide strategic insight as to their impact on the organization's profitability.This position will also be responsible for competitive analysis, environment/industry landscape trends and scans and other assessments as deemed necessary.In this role, the Director, M & A Strategy will work closely with business leaders and C-Suite Executives.This position will also support and manage investment bank relationships.
- Lead all M&A activity including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, as well as strategic alliances, partnerships and equity investments. Additionally, lead all aspects of transaction execution, works closely with business teams, internal functional experts, i.e. legal, finance, tax, as well as outside advisors.
- Be involved in all aspects of the evaluation of new business opportunities for all target companies, including company analyses, market and industry analyses, deal valuation modeling
- Oversees development of financial projections, pro forma financial models, valuation analysis, and synergy models in support of potential transactions
- Liaise with BU leadership teams to ensure the cross-pollination of best practices in target identification, target relationship management, due diligence process management, and deal execution
- Involved in the M&A execution process including indication of interest, due diligence and purchase agreement negotiation. Develop a consultative relationship with internal and external resources to support growth activities
Basic Qualifications:
Education and Experience: BS/BA Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Marketing or Engineering and 8 years Investment Banking, M & A, Private Equity
5 years of management
- Financial modeling experience
- Preparation & Facilitation of Executive Presentations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Masters in Business administration and 6 years of Investment Banking, M & A, Private Equity
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to source acquisitions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Analytical skills
- Expert knowledge of Excel
- Integrated financial and valuation modeling analysis
