Datacenter Technician I
Responsible for answeringincoming customer service requestcallsregarding server/operational troubleshooting. Builds new hardwareand installs required OSaccording to customer specifications.
Builds hardware and racking forserver systems. Installs/reloadsrequired operating systems.
Answers incoming customer service requests, logs call and completes trouble tickets. Escalates matters as needed.
Must be able to build and troubleshoot all commonSuperMicrobased hardware.
Education and Experience: HS/GED and 2 years experience in computers. Experience with installation of servers and racking, building common hardware (Windows 2008, 2012, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, etc.).
Basic computer equipment and operating systems knowledge. Ability to perform basic troubleshooting over the phone. Ability to build common SuperMicro-based hardware.
Education:Tech Cert in Computer Applications/Sciences
Experience: Good verbal communication skills.
