The Integrated Payments Channel represents a significant growth area for Deluxe’s Payments Division. With its acquisition of First American Payments in 2021, and the portfolio of vertically focused ISV (Independent Software Vendor) partnerships that they had built, it is positioned to become a significant disrupter in the world of integrated payments and business technology.
What is the role?
The VP of Business Development, ISV is a critical role for the organization and is part of integrated payments leadership team. Reporting directly to the President, Integrated Payments, you will be responsible for building out the ISV growth strategy and leading a vertically focused team responsible for its execution.

You thrive on building high performance teams, have become known as a tireless champion for your clients and partners and pride yourself on always doing the right thing. You understand how to position and sell complex partnership deals to set them up for success and are comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get them over the line. You understand how to build value propositions in a way that is easily understood and take pride in mentoring and coaching a team to do the same. You are comfortable working cross-functionally to ensure partner success.
Responsibilities:
Evolve/develop growth and go-to-market strategy to acquire new ISV partnerships
Hire, train, and coach a team of business development professionals to ensure they are achieving/over-achieving quota
Support tactical sales engagements where necessary, negotiate referral and partnership agreements
Collaborate with product development and marketing to define ideal partner profile
Collaborate with product development and marketing to effectively communicate product features and benefits in a compelling way
Identify revenue generating opportunities that can be leveraged across Deluxe solution offering
Single minded focus on achieving the targets that you have set for your team
Basic Qualifications:
Education|Experience: Bachelor's in related field AND 8 years experience in Sales OR Business Development
5 years of management experience
Knowledge of payment processing industry including products, services, pricing and technology
Preferred Qualifications:
Education|Experience: Masters Degree AND 6 years experience
Assertive, innovative, and creative approach to sales
Ability to provide business leadership, communicate clearly, and ferociously execute on new business opportunities
Must have strong business acumen and hunter mentality with the ability to generate new business and effectively qualify new opportunities
Ability to collaborate cross functionally and influence others not in your direct control
Track record of executing successful channel campaigns
Ability to flourish in fast paced and challenging environment
