The Director of Digital Marketing will be the strategic force owning, driving, and executing a comprehensive and integrated digital media strategy and campaigns in support of Deluxe’s portfolio of products, services, and Enterprise goals. This position requires significant strategic and tactical experience in all aspects of digital marketing. This role will lead and mentor a team of paid digital media and marketing automation specialists that drive awareness, leads and profitable sales through digital channels including search, social, display and email. You will play a key role helping to define, manage and optimize the customer journey throughout the marketing and sales funnel.

  • Manage, lead and mentor a team of digital marketers utilizing digital marketing strategies, tactics and platforms (including but not limited to Google, Bing, LinkedIn, Facebook, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Adobe Analytics, etc.), best practices, 1st and 3rd party data, customer history and behavior to develop, manage and execute best in class campaigns and customer journeys that drive acquisition, retention and lifetime value.

  • Drive and execute integrated digital marketing strategies within the Direct to Small Business and Consumer segments to achieve lead, acquisition, retention, and revenue goals.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization (including but not limited to Marketing, Sales, eCommerce, Product, and external agencies) to develop, monitor, and optimize programs throughout the customer journey and sales funnel.

  • Identify opportunities to develop new channels and/or expand existing channels for customer acquisition.

  • Build cross functional relationships by providing insights and strategic recommendations that can have a profound impact on the organization

Basic Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Bachelors and 8 years or Masters and 6 years

  • 7+ years’ experience defining strategy and execution of paid digital marketing programs in Search, Display, Social and eMail

  • 10+ years’ digital marketing experience with heavy focus managing multi-million dollar paid search programs.

  • 3+ years building/managing/mentoring a team of varying degrees of experience

  • Demonstrable experience with Google, Bing, Facebook, LinkedIn, Display Networks, Adobe Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Pardot (or equivalent), etc.

  • Cross-functional leadership experience with executive level communication and presentation skills

  • Experience implementing and managing large, complex digital marketing programs across multiple channels

  • Experience negotiating enterprise level vendor contracts

  • Experience in D2C/Small Business lead generation, lead nurture and customer journey mapping

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Masters in Marketing, IT or Data Science

Experience: 10 years in Paid Digital marketing at a large agency or corporation, building and leading a marketing team

  • Must be technically proficient and have a strong understanding of marketing processes.

  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements

  • Analytical thinker, naturally curious, and thrives in working in cross-functional teams

  • Must be passionate about digital and interactive marketing strategies and integrated marketing

  • Must be motivated, a self-starter, a change agent and a perpetual learner
