Affiliate Marketing Manager
The Affiliate Marketing Manager will be the strategic force owning, driving, and executing a comprehensive online affiliate marketing program in support of Deluxe’s portfolio of products, services, and enterprise goals. You should be equally proficient managing both lead gen as well as large scale transactional online affiliate programs. S/he will lead and mentor a team of affiliate marketing specialists that drive leads and profitable sales through the affiliate channel. Your primary focus will be to prospect, nurture, and close new affiliate partner relationships, driving revenue growth across Deluxe’s portfolio of products and services.
Manage, lead and mentor a team of affiliate marketers utilizing the Share-a-Sale affiliate marketing platform and best practices to deliver a best-in-class affiliate marketing programs that drive acquisition, retention, and lifetime value
Responsible for prospecting, outreach, nurture and closing new partnerships as well as negotiating affiliate commissions, bonus payouts, and platform fees to drive performance, revenue, and profitability
Manage all aspects of the affiliate platforms including pricing, contract renewals, new program launches, product expansion, optimization, reporting, forecasting, partner management and budgeting
Partner with cross functional groups, business stakeholders, creative resources & outside vendors to help identify, facilitate, develop, and execute strategic initiatives that support and drive profitable sales through affiliate marketing campaigns
Oversee in-depth analysis and optimization of partnerships, opportunities, current campaigns, coupons and promotions, and other aspects of affiliate marketing campaigns, including media creative, landing page quality, lead, and traffic quality, etc.
Education and Experience: Bachelors and 5 years or HS/GED and 9 years
5+ years online affiliate experience
3+ years defining strategy/execution of multimillion-dollar affiliate programs
3+ years managing/mentoring a team of varying degrees of experience
Experience negotiating enterprise level vendor contracts
Comprehensive knowledge of Affiliate Marketing including core online marketing strategies and techniques with a specific focus around B2B lead gen and large scale direct to consumer/small business revenue delivery
Strong communication skills to evangelize eCommerce projects and work with cross functional staffs to ensure implementation
Proven track record of large-scale success driving strategy and developing online Affiliate programs through partnership prospecting and business development
Advanced Excel knowledge (e.g., v-lookups, macros, pivot tables)
Proficiency with affiliate tracking/tagging requirements
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s in Marketing and 7 years Affiliate Marketing experience at a large agency or corporation
Leadership skills and a solid client-service mentality are critical attributes for this role
A strong people person, a good negotiator, organized, detail-oriented and the ability to work cross functionally in fast-paced environment
Experience with affiliate B2B lead gen programs
Experience working with Salesforce and other analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.
