Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Shoreview, Minnesota

The Senior Financial Analyst will support various areas of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis including Finance and Real Estate selling and general and administrative costs as well as capital planning. The position will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial close processes are met as well as owning components of the budgeting, reporting, and analysis processes.

- Complete month-end financial close processes timely and accurately
- Complete timely and accurate financial analysis of Corporate results and forecast
- Provide financial consultation and decision support to manager and business partners within the Corporate Finance and Real Estate organizations
- Develop/identify opportunities for improving Month-end close processes and forecasting processes
- Work closely with business partners and FP&A team to drive execution of strategies and programs to drive results
- Perform SOX, compliance and control functions
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as requested
- Complies with work requirements related to attendance and notice absence, general conduct and following work direction
- Capitalizes AUC activity for Corporate projects primarily related to IT and Real Estate
- Process accrual and reclassify journal entries throughout the month for areas supported
- Supports other Corporate initiatives and Financial Analysts as needed
- Position may include other duties as determined by the company
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
- 2 or more years of relevant experience
- Strong financial acumen
- Technical skills including Microsoft Office Suite (strong experience with Microsoft Excel required)
- Action-oriented who is self-motivated, focused, results-oriented, creative and innovative, with a can do attitude
- Ability to learn and understand various accounting systems including Cognos, TM1 & SAP
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Comfortable in a deadline oriented environment, works well under pressure
- Able to provide thought leadership to identify issues and opportunities, develop solutions, make recommendations and execute/manage the implementation. Utilizes conceptual thinking in complex or new situations
- Mature, personally and professionally
- High energy and flexible
- Comfortable working with Executive Leadership
- Ability to collaborate cross functionally
- Team player with an energetic and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently within a goal driven team
