This role will play an integral part in the planning, coordination, refinement, execution, and evaluation of the SOX framework associated with our Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) program.   This individual will have the opportunity to be a key player in shaping our accounting processes. This role will require strong analytical, organization and critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a group to enhance processes and identify best practices.

  • Prepare scoping assessment and coordinate quarterly SOX testing by process owners, testers and peer reviewers including the maintenance of the SOX administration tool to ensure control and testing documentation is updated.
  • Perform quarterly and annual testing or peer reviews for certain processes and entity level controls.
  • Assist process owners and testers by performing periodic reviews of control matrices to ensure consistency across platforms and development of internal controls / testing plans for both new and existing processes.
  • Assists with SEC and financial reporting process through preparation and review of supporting workpapers associated with 10-K’s, 10-Q’s, disclosure review committee and Board of Director meeting materials.
  • Provide company training, presentations, coaching, and guidance relative to controls and governance.

Basic Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Bachelors in accounting and 5 years or HS/GED and 9 years

·Sarbanes Oxley / Internal Controls / COSO Framework

·GAAP knowledge and technical accounting skills

·Strong analytical skills

·Executive presence including the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and other business unit / senior leaders

·Excellent communications skills and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: 5 years of related experience

·CPA

·Big 4 / Public Accounting Experience – 3+ years
