This role will play an integral part in evaluating strategic contracts for revenue recognition implications, provide technical support to our business units on new accounting standards, play an important role in SEC based external reporting and be instrumental in the application, development and ongoing maintenance of our Corporate Accounting Policies.  This individual will have the opportunity to be a key player in shaping our accounting processes.

  • Responsible for the revenue recognition accounting for certain revenue transactions: analyzing and allocating revenue for agreements with multiple-element arrangements, bundled pricing, rebates / incentives and software revenue recognition considerations.  
  • Assist with the financial reporting process through preparation and review of supporting workpapers associated with 10-K’s, 10-Q’s, Proxy Statements and Board of Director meeting materials.
  • Perform and support the annual goodwill impairment analysis as well as provide accounting support for acquisitions and divestitures, as necessary.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and periodic accounting and reporting for more technical areas such as stock based compensation, cash flow statement preparation
  • Serve as resource on special projects that require technical or business-related support for our operating units such as the implementation of new accounting standards, business combinations

Basic Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Bachelors in Accounting and 5 years or HS/GED and 9 years

·GAAP knowledge and technical accounting research skills

·Experience performing complex accounting research including revenue recognition

·Experience with SEC based financial statements preparation / review

·Thorough understanding of complex accounting standards

·Strong analytical skills

·Executive presence including the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and other business unit / senior leaders

·Excellent communications skills and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors in Accounting

Experience: 5 years of experience

·CPA

Big 4 / Public Accounting Experience – 3+ years
