Development Operations Engineer 5

Location: United States
Responsible for advancing the automated continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI-CD) pipeline. Develops solutions to effectively monitor the overall health of applications, improve resiliency and ensure security. Also provides technical mentoring and leadership to less experienced engineers. Considered to have an expert level of knowledge and proficiency with Development Operations practices and technologies.
- Build, maintain, and enhance automated CI-CD pipeline for virtualized and private cloud infrastructures
- Define, manage, and enforce DevOps best practices and standards
- Mentor mid and associate level DevOps Engineers
- Assist DevOps team to design, build, and maintain secure, resilient, and scalable architecture
- Standardize and automate configuration management
Basic Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Bachelors in IT or related field and 5 years experience or HS/GED and 9 years experience in programming. Experience working with version control systems and migrations including Git, Bitbucket and TFS.
Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools. Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible (preferred), Puppet, Salt, or Chef. Experience with repository management tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience: 3+ years of experience in programming, preferably Bash, Python, Ruby, Powershell, or Groovy. 3+ years Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools, particularly Jenkins.
3+ years Experience working with version control systems and migrations including Git, Bitbucket and TFS. 3+ years experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible (preferred), Puppet, Salt, or Chef.
3+ years experience deploying applications in Docker containers. 3+ years experience with repository management tools, preferably Artifactory. 3+ years of experience automating operations tasks and providing self-service.
3+ years of experience with setting up and maintaining centralized logging and monitoring frameworks such as Graylog, ELK stack, or Splunk. 3+ years of experience with Linux and/or Windows administration.
3+ years of experience with Windows technologies: Active Directory, PowerShell, MS SQL, IIS. 3+ years of experience with web servers, specifically nginx, Apache or Microsoft IIS.
3+ years of experience with load balancers and reverse proxies such as HAProxy. 3+ years of experience of basic networking (firewall, open ports), DNS & DHCP.
3+ years of experience with TLS/SSL, public private key cryptography, how certificates work, and mutual authentication. 3+ years of experience with REST APIs.
3+ years of experience with virtualization technologies, particularly with VMWare & Hyper-V. 3+ years of experience with build automation using any of the following: Ant, Maven, Gradle, and MSBuild .
3+ years in a prior DevOps role. 3+ years of experience writing and debugging SQL code. 3+ years of experience automating database deployments using tools such as Datical, Flyway, or Redgate.
3+ years of experience with Atlassian suite including, but not limited to Hipchat, Bitbucket, Confluence, and JIRA. 3+ years of experience with PaaS and container orchestration technologies such as Openshift and Kubernetes.
3+ years of experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure. 3+ years of experience supporting Agile Scrum/Kanban teams
Target Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00Department: IT
