Business Analyst II

The Product Business Analyst 2 supports the product management team in day-to-day execution, liaising with the Product Development team as needed. They write user stories, help manage the product backlog and recommend prioritization, and support collection and analysis of multiple data sources.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support Product Management as a liaison with Product Development Team to guide the PD team and make sure business needs are being conveyed and met e.g., clarify and elaborate stories as needed with developers, provide feedback on WIP and completed user stories

  • Document epics and write user stories

  • Maintain prioritization of the product backlog

  • Lead and create deliverables for all aspects of business analysis and functional design for digital imaging cheque scanners including product documentation, mockups, roadmaps, etc.

  • Support development and management of the product roadmap

  • Be knowledgeable about our hardware & software features and capabilities in order to consult with our 3rd party software partners on solution integration

  • Collect and analyze customer feedback

  • Ensure production-ready products meet business and technical requirements, and maintain transparency to schedule, resource and quality goals

  • Develop technological solutions to improve product and services

  • Coordinate beta unit field tests with integration partners.

  • Support customer and market research and competitor benchmarking to understand customer needs and product feasibility

  • Perform data collection and analysis to understand progress against KPIs

  • Support pricing strategy development by conducting data collection and analysis

  • Support development of the business plan e.g., target market analysis, product growth plan

Basic Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Bachelors and 2 years or HS/GED and 6 years

  • Experience with agile methodology

  • Experience creating user stories and documenting epics

  • Experience in performing analytical work

  • Knowledge and use of behavioral analysis tools to understand user experience across different landscapes

  • Experienced in analyzing data sets, creating flow diagrams, preparing high level summaries and workflows

  • Experienced in quality assurance and usability testing

  • Very well organized - can prioritize and execute amidst distractions

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in: Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology Management

Experience: 3 years in a Business Analyst or Product Analyst role.

  • Programming languages C#, Java, Linux, HTML

  • Internet of Things (IoT) experience with hardware devices

  • IT experience: LAN/WAN, Thin Client / Virtual Environments

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML)

  • Strong written and verbal English communications skills, Spanish is an asset

  • Experience collaborating with UX design

  • Experience managing vendor relationships

  • Experience managing internal and external integration partners

  • Experience managing customer support product escalations

  • Product Lifecycle Management
