Why Join Us

Be part of an organization that’s driving change and consistently recognized as a top employer. At Deluxe, we know that great people build great companies—and we invest in you accordingly.

  • We’re proud to be recognized as a Great Place to Work and a top workplace for Moms, Dads, LGBTQ+ employees, and Veterans.
  • We offer competitive benefits starting on day one, designed to support your life both in and out of work.
  • 42% of our employees have stayed for 10+ years, citing our people, benefits, work-life balance, inclusive culture, and team support as key reasons why.

We are seeking a versatile, multi-disciplined Manufacturing Engineer (Service) to join the Engineering Support Services (ESS) team. This is a dynamic role where no two days look the same—you may be machining parts on a mill in the morning, wiring an electrical panel after lunch, and integrating a full system by end of week. We need someone who can move fluidly between mechanical, electrical, and systems-level work while collaborating closely with design and process engineers. You will build, test, and service printing, finishing, packaging, and conveying equipment at the ESS facility, and travel to Deluxe production sites across the U.S. and Canada (up to 25%) to support equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who thrives on variety and takes pride in seeing a project from fabrication to a fully functioning system on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical:

  • Build, assemble, and test prototype and production printing, finishing, packaging, and conveying equipment at the ESS facility based on engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
  • Operate and maintain shop equipment including manual and CNC mills, lathes, band saws, drill presses, grinders, and a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Fabricate custom parts, fixtures, jigs, and tooling to support equipment builds and production line improvements.
  • Perform mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and alignment on printing, finishing, packaging, and conveying equipment, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Electrical:

  • Wire, terminate, and troubleshoot electrical panels, control circuits, sensors, motors, and related components on printing, finishing, packaging, and conveying equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; assist engineers with electrical design validation and debugging.
  • Support the integration and testing of PLCs, drives, HMIs, and other control system components.

Systems Integration:

  • Bring mechanical, electrical, and controls elements together into fully operational equipment systems, performing end-to-end functional testing and qualification.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, process engineers, and project engineers to resolve build issues, validate system performance, and provide hands-on feedback that improves equipment designs.
  • Perform debugging, fine-tuning, and acceptance testing of integrated systems prior to deployment to production facilities.

Field Service & General:

  • Travel to Deluxe production facilities across the U.S. and Canada (up to 25%) to perform on-site equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance support, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide on-site field service support at Deluxe locations, diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and systems issues to minimize production downtime.
  • Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and extend asset life.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including build procedures, test reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and equipment specifications.
  • Support capital projects from concept through installation, including vendor coordination, specification development, and acceptance testing.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards applicable to ESS operations and the shop floor environment.
  • Provide technical training and mentorship to maintenance technicians and production operators at both the ESS facility and remote Deluxe sites.
